Junior Tractor Driving Experience in Wiltshire

Embark on an exhilarating journey tailored for budding young farmers! At our picturesque training farm in Wiltshire, your child will have the unique opportunity to drive real tractors, gaining hands-on experience in a safe and supportive environment.

From the moment they arrive, kids aged 13 to 16 will be welcomed into the world of agriculture. They’ll be briefed on safety and operation before they hop into these powerful machines. With expert instructors by their side, youngsters will learn how to navigate the farm's expansive estate, mastering the skills of steering, acceleration, and braking.

The thrill of driving will be complemented by the chance to explore the farm, operate a variety of tractors, and discover the fascinating mechanisms behind these machines. It’s not just about driving; it’s all about fostering an appreciation for farming and the machinery that makes it all happen.

Whether they're a future farmer or simply looking for a fun new experience, kids will finish the day with lasting memories and a newfound respect for the agriculture world!

What's Included

• Drive your choice of a 2024 John Deere or 1988 Case International tractor
• Safety briefing including an introduction to the tractor and its controls
• Practice basic manoeuvres in the tractor
• Familiarisation of the driving course
• Drive the course in the tractor including some reversing
• Allow 45 minutes for this experience with around 25 minutes drive time
• If opting for the John Deere tractor you will also experience GPS guided steering

Double Tractor Driving Experience

• Drive both the 2024 John Deere and 1988 Case International tractor
• 25 minutes driving each tractor (50 minutes total drive time)
• Allow one and a half hours on site for this experience

The Tractors

• John Deere 6R195 2024 Model
• 195hp modern tractor with auto gear box, electric controls and touch screen set up including GPS guided steering

• Case International 1455 XL 1988 Model
• 145hp 30 year old tractor with manual gear box and manual lever controls

Aged 16 or over? Grown ups can also drive tractors at the same Wiltshire farm venue!

When Is It Available

• Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year (excluding August-October during the harvest and planting season)
• Dates and session times are subject to availability

Suitable For

• Suitable for juniors aged between 13-16
• Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult

• Spectators are welcome
• Please note: due to safety no spectators under 8 are permitted
• Please note: dogs are not permitted on site
