Silver Clay Ring Making Workshop in Hull

During this full-day workshop in Hull, you will dive into the wonderful world of silver clay jewelry making. Under the expert guidance of jeweller Richard Allen, you’ll learn the entire process from start to finish. Get hands-on experience in ring sizing, applying different textures, and mastering finishing techniques.

No previous experience is required, so whether you're a curious beginner or have dabbled in jewelry before, you will find this workshop welcoming and inspiring. Imagine fashioning a unique piece that reflects your style, all while honing your skills in a fun and supportive environment.

What's Included

• Hand-make your own silver ring
• Learn the fundamentals of working with silver clay
• Tuition from an experienced and qualified silver clay teacher
• Learn how to cut, texture and size your piece ready for firing
• Enjoy the experience of torch firing your pieces turning your work into silver
• Get tips for polishing and finishing your silver ring ready to take home

• You will form part of a group of up to 10 participants

Beginners Ring Class

• Suitable for those who have little or no experience of silver clay
• The workshop is split into two sessions, the first covers the fundamentals of silver clay.  In the second you will make a basic but very attractive ring

Ultimate Ring Making

• Suitable for those who have some experience with silver clay and want to further their skills
• This covers some advanced techniques such as stone setting, hand carving and power carving

When Is It Available

• Courses operate on selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• Alternative days may be accommodated by groups of 4+ by prior arrangement
• Dates are subject to availability
• 09:30-17:30 with a break for lunch (not included, please bring a packed lunch)

Suitable For

• Minimum age 14
• Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult
• No prior experience is needed

• Additional clay is available to buy on the day should you wish to make something bigger
