Get ready to immerse yourself in the captivating experience of freediving! Our RAID courses, set just outside Bath, offer you the chance to connect with the underwater world in a thrilling way. You’ll be guided by the highly skilled Emma Farrell and her dedicated team, ensuring you gain confidence and skills that last a lifetime.
Over the course of one or two days, you will learn essential techniques for freediving including breath control, equalization, and safety practices. They will also teach you the proper way to navigate and enjoy the ocean depths while being aware of your surroundings. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of the freediving principles, all while experiencing the joy of gliding through the water.

What's Included
- Introduction to the world of freediving
- All freediving equipment, including long fins, low volume mask, snorkel, weight belt, neoprene socks and gloves and wetsuit provided
- Online RAID freediver theory materials and course handbook are provided to familiarise yourself with the basics
- Participants must complete the theory and pass before the date of your booked course
RAID Foundation (1 Day) - During the day you will cover all the basic freediving techniques, including water safety and breathing skills you need
- Spend the morning of day one split between the classroom and the purpose built 'confined water section' of the site
- In the afternoon you will begin diving in open water
- By the end of the day you could be diving to depths up to 5m
RAID Freediving (2 Day) - Cover all the fundamental freediving skills
- Spend the morning of day one split between the classroom and the purpose built 'confined water section' of the site
- In the afternoon you will begin diving in open water
- Opportunity to dive submerged boats, trucks, cars and planes and through shoals of fish!
- By the end of the weekend you could be diving to depths of up to 20m
When Is It Available
- Courses run between April and October
- 1 Day Course: Selected Saturdays with occasional midweek dates
- 2 Day Course: Selected Saturdays-Sundays

Suitable For
- Minimum age 12
- Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult
- A good general level of fitness is required
- Participants respiratory and circulatory systems must be in good health
- A medical statement must be completed prior to participating

- Spectators are welcome at Vobster Quay
Anything Else
- All participants are required to complete a standard medical questionnaire prior to attending the course
- Accommodation is not included, but information is provided
- Vobster Quay entry is not included (currently £22.00 per day)
