Falconry Adventures in West Sussex

Here, you will meet some of the most awe-inspiring birds of prey, each with their own fascinating story. You'll engage closely with these remarkable creatures, learning about their behaviors and habitats while enjoying the serene backdrop of the Sussex countryside.

During your experience, you'll not only witness the grace and power of these birds in flight, but you'll also have the chance to handle them yourself. Throughout your visit, our expert falconers will guide you, sharing their profound knowledge and enthusiasm for these birds. Whether you're a seasoned bird enthusiast or a complete novice, this experience will leave you inspired and eager to learn more about the art of falconry.

What's Included

Owl Encounter

• View and handle a selection of owls including Barn Owls and European Eagle Owls
• Experiences last approximately 2 hours
• You will form part of a group of up to 8 participants

Falconry Experience

• Choose from a half day lasting around 2 hours or a full day lasting approximately 4 hours
• Interact with owls, hawks and falcons
• The full day gives you additional time with the birds
• A homemade lunch is included on the full day
• Tea and coffee are provided for all experiences
• You can usually take photographs of the birds at the Falconers discretion
• You will form part of a group of up to 8 participants

When Is It Available

• Experiences operate throughout the year on most weekdays and weekends
• Full Days are recommended in warmer months
• All sessions are weather dependant

Suitable For

• Minimum age is 16
• You are advised to wear suitable dark coloured outdoor clothing
