Swinton Estate Fishing Experiences

Embark on a peaceful adventure as you cast your line in the enchanting waters of the Swinton Estate. Whether you choose a half or full day experience, each session is led by qualified angling coaches who will guide you through every step of the process.

During your time at this picturesque location near Ripon in Yorkshire, you’ll not only learn essential techniques for catching salmon, trout, and grayling, but you’ll also connect with nature in a meaningful way. What's Included

• Exclusive fishing tuition on the Swinton Estate
• 1:1 tuition from an expert Northern Fishing School guide
• Fish on the River Ure (Salmon or Trout) or the River Burn or Swinton's still water lake (Trout) depending on the time of year
• Fishing equipment and your fishery ticket is included
• Transport to the river is provided

Half Day

• Sessions last approximately four hours

Full Day

• Sessions last approximately eight hours
• A picnic lunch is included

When Is It Available

• Selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• The lake at Swinton Estate (Trout) is open all year round
• River fishing:The trout and salmon season is 1st April-31st October (March for Grayling)

Suitable For

• There is no upper or lower age limit. As long as someone deems themselves, or their child, to be capable then the school are happy to teach them
• Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome

Anything Else

• A deposit amount of your fishery ticket will be charged if dates are postponed
• Lake and river trout fishing £25 per person.  Salmon fishing £25 per person April-August & £45 in September and October
• Please note once you have booked your date if you cancel the reservation for any reason 25% of the voucher value will be retained by the Fishing School
