Tank Adventure for Adults & Kids (8+)

Welcome to an action-packed day on our Adult & Child Tank Experience in Leicestershire! Get ready to dive headfirst into a world of mud and excitement where memories are made. Whether you're a parent wanting to share a unique thrill with your child, or a younger adventurer eager to take the ride of a lifetime, we've got you covered!

You'll begin your adventure by stepping inside the formidable FV432 APC. One lucky participant aged 16 or older will take the wheel, while passengers aged eight and above will buckle up and enjoy the ride. Feel the power of the tank as you navigate through muddy terrains, experiencing the raw energy and excitement of being part of military history.

But that's not all! You’ll also have the chance to fire the 40mm turret gun, giving you a taste of what it feels like to command a piece of heavy machinery. This hands-on experience will have everyone buzzing with excitement. So, gather your family, and let’s create some truly unforgettable moments together!

What's Included

• Tank driving experience for one adult (16+) and one child (8+)
• Perfect for parents, grandparents, teens and children
• Your instructor will drive one lap of the course 
• You will both have the opportunity to charge, aim and fire the 40mm air cannon
• The adult will then drive the tank, one lap with the drivers hatch open followed by a lap in battle position with the hatch closed
• Overalls and helmets are provided as required
• FREE entry to the Museum displaying a large military vehicle collection
• The experience lasts approximately 45 minutes

• April until October
• Weekday vouchers valid for Wednesday to Friday
• Anytime vouchers valid for Wednesday to Sunday
• Dates are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• Adult/Driver: Minimum age 16
• Child/Passenger: Minimum age 8
• Height restrictions: minimum 4 ft/122cms, maximum 6ft 4ins / 193cms
• Weight restrictions: maximum 22 stone / 140kg
• Access to some vehicles involves climbing into tight spaces
• A driving licence is not required for this experience

Spectators

• Visitors are welcome for a charge of £9pp payable on the day, which includes entry to the Military Vehicle Collection and gives access to the viewing area
• Children must be supervised at all times
• Up to three passenger places are available to purchase for a fee of £30 per person (subject to availability)
• Passengers can take part in the target shooting and entry to the museum is also included

• There are toilets and changing facilities on site with drinks and food available to purchase
