Welcome to Higher Kellacott, where bees buzz and nature thrives! During your visit, you'll be greeted by our friendly team who are passionate about these incredible pollinators. The experience is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, making it accessible for everyone, whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a curious novice.

As you step into the world of beekeeping, you'll don protective gear and get up close to our hives, where you’ll observe the intricate workings of these amazing creatures. Learn about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, how honey is crafted, and the importance of bee conservation.

What’s more, you’ll have the chance to taste the honey straight from the comb! The combination of rich flavors from different blossoms makes this tasting an extraordinary addition to your day. Breathe in the fresh country air, soak in the stunning views of Dartmoor, and leave with a newfound appreciation for the tiny marvels of nature that play such a big role in our lives. What's Included

• Two hour beekeeping session
• Learn about the workings of the hive and lifecycle of the honey bee
• Discover whats involved in managing bees throughout the year
• Find out how the bees produce honey and the journey from hive to jar
• A visit to the apiary to inspect the hives with some hands-on opportunities (weather dependent)
• Honey tasting, of course!
• All protective clothing is provided
• You will form part of a small group of up to 8 participants for this experience

Exclusive Sessions

• Choose the exclusive session for 2 or 4 people and you will have a private beekeeping session just for your group

When Is It Available

• Between May and August
• Shared sessions: Selected Sundays
• Exclusive Sessions: Mutually convenient dates and times; weekdays, weekday early evenings or Saturdays
• Due to the seasonal nature of this activity and popularity it is recommended to book well in advance to avoid disappointment
• Vouchers must be booked and redeemed before end August 2025 for the current beekeeping season
