What's Included
- Three hour paddleboarding session
- Tuition and guidance from a qualified paddleboarding instructor
- Learn basic skills and develop correct paddling techniques to manoueuve the paddleboard
- Your SUP instructor will teach you how to mount and dismount safely
- Play a few games to put your newly learnt skills to the test
- Sessions take place on either the canal or a sheltered ares of the river (depending on conditions)
- All equipment is provided including buoyancy aid, helmet (water location dependent) paddleboard, paddle and leash
When Is It Available
- April to October subject to water levels and weather conditions
- Sessions are available weekdays and weekends
- Morning and afternoon sessions are generally availabile
Suitable For
- Minimum age 12, and of average height, to be able to use a paddleboard safely
- Anyone under the age of 18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian
- There is no upper age or height limit but there is a weight limit of 18 stone
Spectators
- Not suitable for spectators as participants are moving around on the water, but you can meet them at the start/finish points
Anything Else
- Facilities at the activity centre base include refreshments, toilets and changing areas
- The centre can also assist with finding suitable overnight accommodation for clients
- Participants should bring: Swimwear, comfortable clothing (that you don't mind getting wet), towel and trainers or water shoes
- Wetsuits are provided during autumn and winter months only
