Our fleet features both two and four-seater planes, allowing you to choose the craft that suits your flying aspirations best. Whether you opt for a thrilling 30-minute lesson or a more extensive 50-minute experience, you’ll find every moment in the sky memorable. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of taking off and feeling the aircraft lift into the air!

As you ascend, you'll witness stunning sights from a bird’s-eye view, including the intricate patterns of the Manchester Ship Canal and the bustling M60, M62, and M602 motorways below. You might even get a glimpse of your own neighborhood, though we must adhere to airspace regulations. The good news is that City Airport offers a unique open-airspace experience, minimizing delays and maximizing your time in the air.

Once you finalize your flight path with your instructor, you'll engage in important pre-flight checks before heading to the aircraft for your airborne escapade. Our lessons are designed to ensure you spend as much time as possible at the controls, allowing you to soak in the incredible perspectives from above. What's Included

• Trial flying lesson in a 2 seater Cessna or 4 seater Piper aircraft
• Welcome, introduction and safety briefing
• Your instructor will explain the basic flying controls and talk you through the pre-flight checks
• Once airborne you will have the chance to take the controls
• 30 and 50 minute flight durations are available
• After your flight you will be presented with a flight certificate

When Is It Available

• Experiences are available Tuesdays to Sundays throughout the year, subject to weather conditions and availability
• Although time slots are allocated please be aware that aircraft lessons are subject to a number of factors which may potentially cause delay to your scheduled time
• Whilst every effort will be made to help keep you on time we ask for a degree of latitude owing to the nature of flying, air traffic delays and weather considerations

Suitable For

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to attend and watch participants in flight with plenty of great photo opportunities
• Participants of 4 seater flights may bring an interested observer (min age 14) who can observe the lesson from the rear seat (at the discretion of the flight instructor and subject to weather conditions)
• Optional upgrade to 60 minutes can be added on to both the 2 and 4 seat 50 minute trial lessons at a cost of £30, payable when booking your date
