This immersive experience is designed for small groups, ensuring you receive personalized guidance every step of the way. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some skills under your belt, this workshop caters to all.

Your day kicks off with an introduction to the tools and techniques you'll be using. Then, under the expert eye of John, you’ll learn how to heat, shape, and forge metal into unique creations. From crafting hooks to making your very own piece of art, the possibilities are endless!

Throughout the day, you’ll work alongside fellow enthusiasts, sharing laughs and learning together. By the time you leave, you’ll have crafted a keepsake to remember your experience, plus new skills that will ignite your creativity for future projects. So, come and discover the magic of turning raw metal into something beautiful!

What's Included

• Spend a day in the life of a blacksmith
• Courses start with a welcome and safety briefing
• Everyone makes a fire poker as the first project
• Proceed to make a metal-worked item of your choice
• The project can be an idea you have or an item the tutors guide you on
• All courses include materials and safety equipment (safety specs, gloves, aprons etc)
• Break for lunch (not included) please bring a packed lunch
• Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day
• Class sizes are generally 4-6 with a ratio of 2-3 participants per tutor

When Is It Available

• Classes generally run Thursdays and Fridays, alternative days can be arranged for small groups
• Sessions start at 09:30 finishing between 16:00 and 16:30
• Dates are subject to availability

Suitable For

• Minimum age 12
• Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult
• A good, general level of fitness is required

• Sturdy shoes/boots and old clothes should be worn
• No fleeces or sandals
