Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this course is designed to inspire awe and enhance your skills. What's Included
- A two day axe making course
- Welcome, introduction and safety briefing
- Learn about the ancient craft of axe making
- Over the course of two days you'll learn the basics of forging, the advanced techniques of punching and drifting the axe eye and isolating mass and steel movement
- Heat treat your axe head
- Refine the axe edge on the belt grinder
- Shape the axe handle and fit it to your axe
- Take your finished axe home with you
- You may form part of a small group on the day
